Yvonne is an artist and a teacher. She is proficient in watercolour, acrylic media, drawing techniques, and ceramics. She has been teaching for 24 years and has completed the B.C. Provincial Instructors' Diploma Course in which she learned many inspirational and
stimulating teaching techniques.

Dearest Yvonne

....Thank you. Thanks for being so talented and trying to share your talents with us. Thanks for putting us at ease and recognizing that we shouldn't expect to do frameworthy (my word - the computer rejects it!) works each time we put brush to paper. Thanks for your keen sense of humour - I love that in particular. Thanks for not smacking people with smart mouths...either verbally or, in some cases, physically which they may deserve. Thanks for your patience in explaining things once, twice, thrice, etc. Thanks for all the individual attention you gave to each one of us. Thanks for inspiration that you lavishly distributed to one and all.

To Whom it May Concern

This letter is in recommendation of Yvonne Maximchuk, artist, who has led several 5-day workshops for me through the 1998 season and is scheduled to lead all of my 1999 season 5-day beginner watercolour workshops.
Yvonne has several important skills and talents which make her an excellent instructor and leader. The most important of these are:
1. the ability to communicate clearly and in a positive and charming manner
2. her well-rounded knowledge of watercolour materials and applications
3. her broad teaching experience which has led her to organize her approach into very clear subject workshops
4. her skill in demonstration of applications, and
5. her portfolio of art which she uses to demonstrate her personal choices of combinations of applications. Her portfolio also demonstrates her skill and talent as an artist.
Enrollment for my workshops has been building because of Yvonne's skills and talents and I will continue to ask her to lead my workshops in the future. Participants have given me nothing but positive feedback about Yvonne and their experiences in Alert Bay.
I do not hesitate to recommend Yvonne as an art teacher, group leader, and artist.
